The Model

The shoot was supposed to end at nine.

By ten-fifteen the last assistant had left, the main lights were off, and only two softboxes remained glowing against the black seamless paper. I stood in front of the full-length mirror in the corner, black silk robe half-tied, checking the smudge of lipstick the last take had left on my lower lip. In the reflection I could see her.

Lena.

She hadn’t put her clothes back on. She still wore the sheer white slip she’d used for the “casual morning light” set — thin enough that the outline of her nipples showed every time she shifted. One thin strap had already slipped down her shoulder. She made no move to fix it. She just leaned against the tall lighting stand, arms crossed, watching me the way she’d been watching me for the last three hours: like the camera had been an inconvenience.

“You’ve been staring for twenty minutes,” I said, still facing the mirror. “The shoot ended an hour ago.”

She didn’t answer. She only bit her lower lip, the same slow drag of teeth I’d noticed every time I changed poses.

I turned.

The studio felt smaller with the main lights dead. The black backdrop swallowed most of the space. The only sound was the soft hum of the remaining softboxes and the faint click of the camera still mounted on the tripod, red recording light blinking like a heartbeat.

I walked toward her. She didn’t move. When I stopped, we were close enough that the heat of her body reached me through the thin silk.

“If you’re going to look at me like that,” I said quietly, “come closer.”

She pushed off the stand. One step. Then another. The fallen strap of her slip slid further down her arm. I reached out and caught it between two fingers, lifting it slowly back into place… then deliberately let it fall again. The fabric whispered against her skin. Her breath caught.

I watched her eyes darken.

“Lena—”

She closed the last inch between us and kissed me.

It wasn’t soft. It was the kind of kiss that had been building behind every quiet instruction she’d given me all evening — tilt your chin, arch your back, look at me like you want something you can’t have. Her hands slid under the open edges of my robe, finding bare skin, and the silk slipped off one shoulder. Cool air touched my breast a second before her palm did.

She walked me backward without breaking the kiss until my shoulder blades hit the black seamless paper. The backdrop was cool and slightly textured against my skin. She pressed me into it, one thigh sliding between mine, and the friction made my hips jerk forward on instinct.

“Stay,” she murmured against my mouth.

I stayed.

She stepped back just far enough to look at me. The robe was open now, hanging from my elbows. She studied the picture I made against the pure black — flushed skin, hard nipples, the wetness already visible between my thighs — and something hungry and precise settled in her expression.

She reached for the remote shutter still clipped to the light stand.

The red light on the camera blinked faster.

“Don’t move,” she said.

I didn’t.

She dropped to her knees on the studio floor.

The first drag of her tongue was slow, deliberate, tasting. The second was deeper. She held the remote in one hand and used the other to open me wider, and every time I made a sound she pressed the shutter. The soft click of the camera mixed with the wet sounds of her mouth. I could feel the vibration of each capture against the backdrop.

My hands found her hair. She didn’t stop me. She only hummed against my clit and pressed two fingers inside me at the exact moment the shutter clicked again.

I was already close when the front door of the studio rattled.

Keys.

Lena froze for half a second — mouth still on me, fingers still buried — then kept going, slower, deeper, while the studio owner’s footsteps crossed the outer hallway. The red recording light kept blinking. She didn’t pull away. She just looked up at me with wet lips and dark eyes and mouthed, quiet.

I bit the side of my hand.

The owner called something about forgetting the hard drives. The footsteps stopped outside the main studio door. Lena’s tongue flattened against me and stayed there, pressure constant, while her fingers curled. I came hard and silent, thighs shaking against her shoulders, the camera still recording every tremor.

The footsteps moved away. The outer door closed.

Only then did Lena stand.

She wiped her mouth with the back of her hand, still holding the remote. The red light kept blinking.

“I kept every frame,” she said quietly. “The ones with your face. The ones where you’re looking at the camera like you’re about to break. The ones where you come.”

She stepped in again, kissed me once — slow, tasting herself on my tongue — and slid the remote into the pocket of my open robe.

“I’m going to send you one every night,” she whispered. “Until you ask me to come over and take more.”

She left the slip strap hanging off her shoulder.

She didn’t fix it on the way out.

I stood there against the black backdrop for a long time after the door closed, robe open, legs still unsteady, the remote warm in my pocket and the red light still blinking like it knew exactly what we had done.

Three nights later the first file arrived.

Subject line: Frame 47.

I opened it.

And I knew I was going to ask.
