Mom and My Name Is Earl star Jaime Pressly has found herself in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. The 49‑year‑old actress was reportedly asked to leave a luxury California hotel following a public disturbance — just months after she announced her decision to join a popular adult content platform.
What Happened at the Hotel
According to TMZ, the incident occurred on August 27 at the Signia by Hilton in San Jose, where Pressly was staying ahead of GalaxyCon, a pop‑culture fan convention held from August 28 to 30.
Witnesses claimed Pressly appeared to be under the influence while sitting in the hotel lobby. She reportedly spoke loudly on her phone for nearly 30 minutes, using frequent expletives. At one point, she was heard saying: “Mommy loves you,” followed by: “You are the best husband I have ever divorced, and you are good to our kids.”
After onlookers complained, two security guards approached Pressly, but she allegedly ignored them and continued her call. She later spoke to another hotel guest — a woman attending a wedding — and complained about the security guards. Pressly reportedly touched the woman’s arm before one of the guards intervened and told the actress, “We’re done.”
After initially walking away, Pressly reportedly returned a few minutes later and headed toward the bar before security escorted her out. A separate source, however, told the publication that she ultimately left of her own accord.
Past Legal Troubles Resurface
The alleged hotel incident has brought Pressly’s past struggles back into the spotlight. In January 2011, just two weeks before filing for divorce from her second husband, entertainment lawyer Simran Singh, Pressly was arrested in Santa Monica on suspicion of driving under the influence. She later pleaded no contest and received three years of informal probation. Around the same time, she reportedly faced significant tax debt.
Pressly shares a son, Dezi, with her ex‑boyfriend Eric Calvo, whom she dated from 2005 to 2009. She later began a long‑term relationship with businessman Hamzi Hijazi, and the couple welcomed twin sons, Leo and Lenon, in October 2017.

In May, Pressly announced her decision to join a popular adult content platform, explaining that the move stemmed from her desire to connect with fans while gaining greater control over the content she creates.
“The entertainment industry is always shifting, and I’ve never been someone who sits on the sidelines,” she told People. She added that joining the platform allowed her to “create what I want, how I want, and share it directly” with her fans.
Before that decision, Pressly built a successful television career with roles in Two and a Half Men and Mom, alongside her breakout role as Joy Turner in My Name Is Earl. Her last film role came in 2023’s The Re‑Education of Molly Singer, though her recent work has primarily consisted of guest and recurring television roles.
