Diddy Secretly Moved to a New Prison Days After His Shocking Head Injury — What Really Happened Behind Bars

Sean "Diddy" Combs is serving his time somewhere new tonight.

The 56-year-old music mogul was transferred out of the federal prison in Fort Dix, New Jersey, to a different federal facility in Allenwood, Pennsylvania, on Friday, October 16, 2026 — just days after a shocking head injury sent him to the hospital.

And the move may have nothing to do with the injury at all.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed to multiple outlets that Combs was moved from FCI Fort Dix to FCI Allenwood Low, both low-security federal correctional institutions.

"We can confirm that Sean Combs transferred to FCI Allenwood Low on Friday, October 16, 2026," a BOP spokesperson told reporters. "For privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not discuss the conditions of confinement for any individual in our custody, including reasons for transfer."

Combs' own team struck a careful tone. "We appreciate the Bureau of Prisons taking the safety and security of Sean and everyone involved seriously," his spokesperson said, adding that the move from one low-security facility to another was "consistent with a decision made with safety and security in mind."

Just days before the transfer, Combs was rushed to a hospital after suffering a head injury inside Fort Dix.

Page Six exclusively reported that the rapper hit his head on a bunk bed, leaving him with a bloody wound. The outlet reported he was sent to the hospital over the weekend and returned to the prison the same day.

According to PEOPLE, the injury was not life-threatening — but afterward, Combs was placed in solitary confinement, raising more questions about what was really happening inside the unit.

TMZ later alleged the injury may not have been an accident at all — claiming Combs got into an altercation with notorious kingpin Christopher Coke, known as "Dudus."

The fight reportedly broke out after Dudus and other inmates grew angry that an NBC News report exposed Combs for allegedly living a lavish life behind bars.

In that report, four anonymous men in the same unit alleged Combs had access to massages, top-shelf alcohol, a cellphone, and more while locked up — claims that would explain the tension.

Combs' team has not confirmed or denied the altercation, and the Bureau of Prisons has said nothing beyond confirming the transfer.

FCI Allenwood Low is a low-security federal prison in Pennsylvania — on paper, much like the New Jersey facility Combs just left.

But insiders believe the move signals that prison officials were worried about his safety at Fort Dix, especially after the hospital visit and the explosive claims about his privileged treatment.

His spokesperson said the team hopes he can "continue serving his time without unnecessary disruption." For one of the most famous inmates in America, that may be easier said than done.
