Jenny McCarthy has never been shy about sharing her life — but her latest revelation left even longtime fans doing a double take.
On the October 29 episode of her podcast, the Masked Singer judge revealed she is living in a tent in her own backyard while she detoxes from mold poisoning.
"I Live in a Tent" — Her Startling Confession
"Because I am paranoid now about basically sleeping anywhere, I live in a tent," McCarthy said on the October 29 episode of her podcast. "I'm not even joking."
She even showed viewers a video of the tan camping tent set up in her backyard, draped in a rainproof cover. McCarthy explained the cover protects against what she described as "chemtrails" and sprinklers — and noted she was not worried about rain in California.
Month Seven of a Difficult Detox
McCarthy said she is in month seven of her mold detox, after being diagnosed with mycotoxin poisoning in December 2025.
"That's where this journey has brought me," she said. "After all of those surgeries, after being diagnosed with mycotoxin poisoning, I feel a little bit sometimes crazy and like the walls are caving in and paranoid."
She added that the experience has been deeply emotional, saying people with mold poisoning can experience PTSD — and that she is still in what she called "the traumatic part."
"It's Really, Really Hard"
McCarthy, who is married to Donnie Wahlberg, did not hold back about how hard the process has been.
"It's really, really hard," she admitted, describing the fear and exhaustion that come with the recovery journey.
Page Six noted it reached out to McCarthy's representatives for comment but had not heard back at the time of publication.

Fans were quick to react to the confession, with many expressing sympathy and others simply stunned that a star would choose a tent over a bedroom.
For McCarthy, though, the tent is not a stunt — it is where she feels safe right now while her body heals.
