She stood frozen in the doorway of her own bedroom, wearing nothing but a thin white slip dress that clung to her still-damp skin. The shower had been supposed to clear her head. Instead, she’d walked out to find her darkest secrets breathing in the same room.
Elena sat on the edge of the bed like a queen holding evidence of treason. The black silk robe draped over her shoulders did nothing to soften the predatory satisfaction in her eyes. In her hand, the phone glowed with a betrayal that wasn’t really a betrayal at all—just a confession that had never been brave enough to send.
“You left it on the nightstand,” Elena said, her voice filling the silence like smoke. “The password was your birthday. Predictable.”
The blonde—Sarah—wanted to run. Every instinct screamed at her to bolt, to laugh it off, to deny everything. But her feet wouldn’t move. Because Elena wasn’t angry. Elena was hungry.
“I wasn’t snooping,” Elena continued, standing up with a fluid grace that made Sarah’s breath catch. “I was waiting for you to tell me. Three months, Sarah. Three months of watching you watch me. Three months of your hand ‘accidentally’ brushing mine. Three months of you typing my name into your phone at 3 AM and then deleting it.”
She crossed the room slowly, deliberately, each step echoing in Sarah’s chest.
“Do you know what I found?” Elena stopped inches away. She held up the phone, the screen still glowing with messages Sarah had written in the dark, drunk on wine and want. “I want her hands where they don’t belong.” “I said her name when I touched myself.” “If she knew, she’d ruin me. I hope she does.”
Sarah’s face burned. Shame and desire twisted together so tightly she couldn’t tell where one ended and the other began.
Elena reached out. Her fingers were warm, impossibly warm, as they tucked a wet strand of hair behind Sarah’s ear. The touch lingered on her jaw, tilting her face up until Sarah had no choice but to meet those dark, knowing eyes.
“I unlocked your phone,” Elena whispered, and the rough edge in her voice sent a shiver down Sarah’s spine. “Read every message you saved about me. The ones where you said my name at 3 AM. The ones where you imagined my hands on you. And now that I know every dirty secret you typed but never sent…”
Elena’s thumb traced Sarah’s lower lip, slow and claiming.
“…I’m going to make every single one come true. Starting tonight.”
Sarah didn’t speak. She couldn’t. Her eyes were wide, her breath shallow, a tear sliding down her cheek that Elena caught with her thumb. It wasn’t a tear of sadness. It was the release of every wall she’d built, every lie she’d told herself, every night she’d touched herself in the dark and whispered Elena’s name like a prayer.
When Elena kissed her, it wasn’t gentle. It was the answer to three months of questions. It was possession. It was finally.
The phone fell from Elena’s hand onto the floor, forgotten. The screen went dark. But the secrets? They were just beginning to come to light.
