The nightclub was called Obsidian, and the VIP lounge was its crown jewel — a glass room suspended over the dance floor, floor-to-ceiling windows offering a view of both the city skyline and the crowd below. I had been invited by a client, a woman named Vivienne who ran a fashion empire and had a reputation for getting whatever she wanted. She had sent me the dress that morning with a note: Wear this. No exceptions.
It was a sheer black mesh dress. Not the kind of sheer that hints. The kind that reveals. Beneath it, I wore a delicate lace bodysuit that I had convinced myself made it acceptable. It didn’t. The mesh clung to every line, every curve, every breath. When I walked into the VIP lounge, I felt naked. And Vivienne was already waiting.
She was standing by the glass wall, a champagne glass in her hand, wearing a silver dress that was backless and cut so deep at the sides that it was barely there. Her blonde hair fell in perfect waves. She turned when I entered, and her eyes traveled over me with a hunger that made my knees weak.
“Perfect,” she said softly. “Turn around.”
I did. Slowly. The glass wall meant the entire club could see my silhouette if they looked up. I felt exposed and powerful at the same time.
“Come here.”
I walked to the couch and sat, my sheer dress riding up my thighs. Vivienne didn’t move for a long moment. She just watched me, sipping her champagne, her eyes dark with thoughts I couldn’t read. Then she set the glass down and walked toward me. Her heels clicked against the marble floor, each sound echoing in my chest.
She stopped in front of me. Leaned down. Placed one hand on the back of the couch behind my head, effectively caging me in. Her face was inches from mine. Through the glass, I could see the crowd below, a sea of bodies moving to the bass. They were looking up. They could see us. But they couldn’t hear us.
“Everyone out there is watching us through the glass,” she whispered, her lips brushing my ear. “But they can’t see what I’m about to do to you.”
My heart stopped. My breath came in shallow gasps. I should have been terrified. The dress was too revealing. The room was too public. But all I could feel was the heat of her body, the promise in her voice, and the desperate need to know what she meant.
She didn’t wait for permission. She kissed me there on that couch, in front of the glass wall, in front of the city. It was a kiss designed to claim — deep, slow, and completely overwhelming. Her hand slid from the back of the couch to my neck, her thumb tracing my jaw as her tongue explored my mouth. I melted into her, my hands finding her waist, pulling her closer.
“You wore the dress,” she murmured against my lips. “That means you want this. That means you’re mine tonight.”
“Yes,” I breathed, not caring how desperate I sounded.
She pushed me back against the velvet. Her hands roamed over the sheer mesh of my dress, finding the lace beneath, teasing through the fabric until I was gasping. The glass wall was cold against my back, a sharp contrast to the heat of her body covering mine. She took her time, her touches deliberate and devastating, building a fire inside me that I couldn’t control.
“Look at them,” she commanded, turning my head toward the glass. “All those people down there. They think they see everything. But they have no idea.” Her hand slipped under the hem of my dress, finding me with devastating precision. “They have no idea that I’m making you fall apart right here, right now, while they watch and know nothing.”
I came apart. With her fingers inside me and her mouth on my neck, I shattered against the glass, my cry muffled by her palm. The city lights blurred. The music faded. There was only Vivienne and the way she owned me completely.
Afterward, she held me on the couch, her fingers tracing lazy patterns on my bare arm. “I bought this club last month,” she confessed softly. “The glass? It’s one-way from the outside. They can’t see in. They never could.”
I turned to look at her, shocked. “You let me think—”
“I let you think you were exposed.” She smiled, that dangerous, beautiful smile. “Because you are beautiful when you think you’re being watched. But tonight, you belong only to me.”
She was right. That night, and every night after, I belonged to her. The glass room became our sanctuary — a place where I wore whatever she chose, where she showed me pleasures I had never imagined, and where I learned that the most exquisite freedom comes from surrendering completely to someone who sees you truly.
Vivienne had the glass. She had the dress. And she had me. I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
